Abstract: A cover letter is something that gives a company first impressions about you, and why they should consider reading your resume which is usually attached with a cover letter. It is a summary of why you want to join the company along with what you have to offer with you. My cover letter was addressed to Ferguson Enterprises a e-commerce business that has plumbing supplies and work on industrial levels. I wanted to join them to gain professional experience using their equipment and software.

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am submitting my resume for the summer Data science and Analytics Internship program at Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. I have listed all my skills and experience in the resume attached and I believe if given the opportunity I will be of great value to the great team at Ferguson Enterprises, Inc.

As I’m a freshman at the City College of New York, I’m planning on taking the intensive computer science courses later on. However through my work and high school life I have accumulated other skills which are necessary at working at any place. During my job at T-mobile I have learned the key factors which makes a work environment functional and efficient. I’d like to apply those techniques further at Ferguson Enterprises, Inc.

I have always maintained a high gpa in highschool of 92% and in college I currently have a 3.3 which I plan on improving further. I have always liked challenging myself to test my limits and as described in the internship that we get to experience professional grade softwares which is very complicated. I’d love a chance to see that myself.

I believe I would make an excellent addition to Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. over the summer internship and I hope to gain real-world experience in the technology industry from this.
